Launched by the Government of India, this scheme aims to provide financial support to small and marginal farmers, ensuring their economic stability and well-being.

The Genesis of PM-KISAN

Addressing Agricultural Distress

Farming communities across India often grapple with various challenges, including unpredictable weather patterns, fluctuating market prices, and rising input costs. These factors contribute to the distress faced by farmers and their families. To address this issue, the Government introduced the PM-KISAN scheme in February 2019.

Aims and Objectives of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi

The primary objective of the PM-KISAN scheme is to provide direct income support to farmers. This support helps them manage their expenses and investments in agricultural activities effectively. By ensuring timely financial aid, the government aims to improve agricultural productivity and the overall quality of life for farmers.
